Seven-Year-Old Sees McDonald's

Text on the meme

7 year old me when my mom going to the mcdonald's drive through just for a turn

What it means

A nighttime car ride passes several McDonald’s locations and a drive-through before cutting to an intensely emotional, tearful close-up of a bearded man. The caption jokes that a seven-year-old treats even a meaningless detour past McDonald’s as a life-changing event. The dramatic reaction is heightened by The Ink Spots’ nostalgic, melancholy song “Maybe,” making the excitement absurdly over-the-top.
