The British Museum Steals the Tower
No one: The British Museum:
Two young men pose in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa while appearing to carry it away in a large bag. The joke references the British Museum’s reputation for holding artifacts taken from other countries, imagining it trying to steal a famous Italian landmark. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to jokes about the museum’s colonial acquisitions. tags?
