British Translation for Mild Heat

British translations #21 “It’s so hot! It’s boiling!” Translation: It’s 21 degrees C.

A sunny video follows a lively British street lined with cafés, pedestrians, trees, and black lampposts. The joke is that the dramatic British complaint “It’s so hot! It’s boiling!” actually translates to a mild 21°C, poking fun at British understatement and weather talk. The clip uses Kiykiyblac’s “Under the Sea,” whose upbeat electronic music makes the exaggeration feel playful and absurd.
