Peaceful Waters Over Pop Music

Text on the meme

Justin Bieber or One Direction Peaceful Waters Morrowind

What it means

A cartoon contrasts an excited blonde girl labeled “Justin Bieber or One Direction” with a bored-looking dark-haired girl labeled “Peaceful Waters Morrowind.” The joke presents the calm fantasy-game soundtrack as preferable to mainstream pop music, with Jeremy Soule’s serene instrumental track making the reaction feel deliberately overdramatic and peaceful. It works as a reaction for choosing quiet, atmospheric music over popular songs.
