The Proper Way to Hammer a Nail

this this is how NOT to hammer in a nail now this is a PROPER way to hammer a nail

A person first tries to hammer a nail directly with a hammer, then demonstrates a supposedly proper method by gripping the nail with pliers while hammering it into a wooden block. The joke is the absurdly overcomplicated and potentially unsafe “proper” technique, making it useful as a reaction to needless overengineering.
