Social Anxiety in the Store

Text on the meme

When my parents tell me to go ask a store employee to help find an item (I have social anxiety)

What it means

A nervous man in a dark shirt wanders through a supermarket while avoiding asking an employee for help. The joke exaggerates social anxiety as an intense, cinematic escape, with Ryan Gosling’s stoic supermarket footage paired with College & Electric Youth’s synthwave song “A Real Hero.” It works as a reaction to being forced into an awkward everyday interaction.
