Dad Beats You, But You Feel Nothing
when your dad beats you for eating the painkillers but you can't feel his belt.
A low-resolution green cartoon lizard dances and flails while the caption describes taking painkillers so intensely that a beating with a belt cannot be felt. The absurd contrast between parental punishment and numb, carefree movement makes it a dark reaction meme. The clip uses Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” whose quirky, hypnotic soul-pop mood makes the lizard’s bizarre dancing feel even more detached and ridiculous.
