Grandpa Raising His Own Children

Grandpa raising his grandchildren Grandpa raising his own children

A two-panel comparison shows a cheerful grandfather reading to several grandchildren, followed by a stern, weathered-looking grandfather representing the same man raising his own children. The joke is that grandparents are often relaxed and indulgent with grandchildren but exhausted and strict when parenting their own kids. It is used as a humorous reaction to the contrast between grandparenting and parenthood.
