Controller Dies at the Worst Moment

DUALSHOCK 4 disconnected. Charge the battery.

A dark warship fires a projectile across the night, then the clip cuts to a bearded gamer in a dark room as his DUALSHOCK 4 disconnects and tells him to charge the battery. The dramatic launch is humorously matched with the gamer’s sudden controller failure, making the music feel like an absurdly serious soundtrack for a minor gaming disaster. The clip is used as a reaction to terrible timing, sudden failure, or being defeated by something avoidable. The soundtrack is “Suicide” by Mixed Masturbaters, a noisy punk/rock track that intensifies the chaotic and frustrated mood.
