This Is HR, This Is a Rat

Text on the meme

hey buddy, do you need some help knowing your rights at work? this is HR this is a rat

What it means

A four-panel black-and-white comic shows a worried worker being approached by a smiling boss, followed by a hand presenting a rat labeled HR. The joke treats human resources as a literal rat, mocking the idea that HR protects employees and implying it serves the company instead. It is sent as a cynical reaction to workplace problems or distrust of HR.
