Increasing My Carbon Footprint

ME INCREASING MY CARBON FOOTPRINT SO THAT THE NETHERLANDS SINKS FASTER INTO THE OCEAN

A silver sedan performs an absurdly smoky burnout in a parking lot, filling the scene with thick white exhaust. The captions jokingly frame the driver’s pollution as a deliberate attempt to increase their carbon footprint so the Netherlands will sink into the ocean faster, turning climate anxiety and the country’s low-lying geography into an exaggerated reaction meme. The clip is accompanied by Ilmari Hakkola’s playful Bad Piggies Theme, whose light, mischievous game-music mood makes the escalating smoke gag feel even more ridiculous.
