Coward Means Move Toward a Cow
“Coward” should really mean “to move in the direction of a cow”
A black-background social media post jokes that the word “coward” should literally mean moving toward a cow, by splitting it into “cow” and “ward.” It is a playful example of false word etymology and is useful as a reaction to pointless linguistic observations or dad jokes.
