Following Up Through Grindr

Text on the meme

Hey you interviewed me yesterday I did lol I want to follow-up and see if I got the job You're following up through Grindr... I'm trying to show I have initiative

What it means

A person messages someone who interviewed them, asking whether they got the job. The punchline is that they are following up through Grindr, turning a normal professional follow-up into an awkward hookup-app interaction. It is sent as a reaction to misguided initiative or an unexpectedly inappropriate way of handling a situation.
