Tech Workers Not Welcome
NEW TO THE CITY? WORK IN TECH? YOU'RE A PLAGUE AND LOCALS FUCKING HATE YOU LEAVE
A printed sign bluntly tells newcomers to the city who work in tech that locals hate them and want them to leave. The joke satirizes anti-gentrification and anti-tech-worker sentiment, especially in cities associated with rising rents and an influx of tech employees. It is used as an aggressively hostile reaction to tech culture, newcomers, or gentrification.
