Flirting Until My Ancestors Appear

Me flirting with the German exchange student in my class My family who died in the holocaust

A red-haired woman smiles and gestures flirtatiously at the camera while the caption says she is flirting with the German exchange student in her class. The video then crossfades into an exaggerated close-up of her face, representing her Jewish family members who died in the Holocaust appearing to remind her of the horrific historical context. Charli xcx’s upbeat hyperpop track “Unlock It” (feat. Kim Petras and Jay Park) makes the dark punchline feel even more absurd through the contrast between cheerful music and the shocking reveal.
