Peeling back my emotional layers:
A cartoon man peels away layers of his face, revealing increasingly colorful emotional masks and finally a strange animal-like face underneath. The joke portrays emotional vulnerability as literally stripping away defensive layers, ending with an absurd hidden inner self. It is used as a reaction to jokes about therapy, emotional baggage, or unexpectedly revealing one’s true personality.
