The Debt Staircase

BUYING A VEHICLE STARTING A FAMILY HOME OWNERSHIP STARTING A BUSINESS PAY OFF ALL DEBT EMERGENCY FUND NICE VACATION LUXURY DINING STUDENT LOAN DEBT MEDICAL DEBT

A cartoon staircase shows financial milestones such as buying a vehicle, starting a family, owning a home, and taking a nice vacation, while two people drag heavy balls labeled “STUDENT LOAN DEBT” and “MEDICAL DEBT.” Pepe the Frog sits on an escalator beside the stairs, adding an absurd reaction to the endless climb toward financial stability. The meme is used to joke about debt making ordinary adult goals feel impossibly difficult.
