C++ Has Too Many Corners
Thank you C++ for giving me "enum classes" which neither behave like enums nor classes. I will continue wrapping my enums in classes so that I can get a class that behaves like an enum and a class rather than uses enum classes for that purpose. Right. Back to coding. I would say this is the most C++ thing, but we both know there are far, far more C++ corners of the language. C++ has so many corners it's practically a circle.
A screenshot of a Twitter thread about C++ enum classes, with one programmer explaining that they wrap enums in classes instead. The replies joke that C++ has so many strange corners of the language that it practically forms a circle. It is used as a reaction to overly complicated programming languages, convoluted code, or endless technical edge cases.
