Please Think of the Shareholders
If you absolutely insist on job hopping, remember this: Yes, you’ll make more money and have a better quality of life, but the company has to replace you and that costs them money. It’s very difficult for a company to maximise shareholder value when you cost them money, so please bear that in mind when weighing up the pros and cons of leaving for a much, much higher monthly salary that would allow you to live far more comfortably than you do now. I mean, a lot of these companies make only hundreds of millions a year in profit. If you leave and they have to spend money replacing you, it's possible that their CEOs might make a mere 199 times the average employee, rather than the 200 they've grown accustomed to and deserve. So, just... try to be a bit more considerate, yeah?
A fake LinkedIn post sarcastically asks employees to consider the company’s costs before changing jobs. The punchline is that replacing one worker might slightly reduce a CEO’s enormous pay multiple, mocking corporate concern for shareholders and anti-job-hopping rhetoric. It is sent as a reaction to exploitative employers, low wages, or absurd corporate priorities.
