Laurindo Almeida — «The Lamp Is Low», EN: In a parking area, a person in light-colored clothes loads belongings and a wheelchair into the trunk of a white car, then disappears from the frame; at the end, the car is closed while a suitcase and an open door remain outside. The joke comes from the unexpected edit and the absurd impression that the person somehow ended up inside the car. The gentle jazz bossa nova track Laurindo Almeida — “The Lamp Is Low” makes the scene feel even more deadpan and surreal.
