Declining an Unpaid Trial Offer
Not sure how I feel about this one. Thoughts?? Declining off Hi We had an interview today in the afternoon. I am writing this to inform you that I'm no longer interested in the position I was offered earlier. A “one week trial” that requires office attendance and full employee level work is not a trial but unpaid labor. I’m not willing to proceed under those terms. Wishing you luck finding no one comfortable with that arrangement. Thank you
A LinkedIn post shares an email declining a job offer after discovering that the “one week trial” requires full-time office attendance and employee-level work without pay. The joke is the blunt but justified rejection of exploitative unpaid labor, especially the closing wish that nobody accepts those terms.
