Comments Are Bad Here’s Why
Comments are bad Here's Why 61 lines Well commented Same Code 36 lines No comments not stonks big file wasted space stonks small file compact
A programming meme compares the same code with extensive comments versus no comments. The commented version takes 61 lines and is labeled “not stonks,” while the compact uncommented version takes 36 lines and is labeled “stonks,” jokingly portraying comments as wasted space and celebrating shorter code. Drake rejects the well-commented approach and approves the compact file, while the stock-market reaction images reinforce the joke.
