Cats Drag You Through the Night
you like a pretty boy with a pretty voice & the music is right 💯 but just for the night 😴 & drags you along before the end of this song 👀
A montage of cats accompanies the lyrics of TV Girl’s “Lovers Rock”: a dressed-up cat is followed by singing, blurry, dancing, and increasingly chaotic cats. The joke is that a charming “pretty boy” and the perfect music make the night feel romantic, but the cat ultimately drags you along until the song ends. The dreamy indie-pop mood makes the absurd escalation feel theatrically seductive and funny.
