The Dog Ate the Pole
Charlie is a cable tech for Comcast down in Georgia .......... To my Supervisor:::: "So um, here's the deal. The pole is unsafe to climb. Yes it's unsafe. No I'm not trying to get out of work a dog ate the pole. Yes a dog. Yes, ate the pole. No I'm not joking. No I don't need to pee in a cup. Yes I'm serious. A dog has eaten at the pole. Sir can I call you back? The dog is looking at me."
A small dog sits beneath a damaged utility pole in a wooded area. The absurd story sounds like an implausible excuse for avoiding work, but the photo makes the bizarre claim seem momentarily believable. People send this as a reaction to an unbelievable excuse or an absurd situation.
