Gendo making Breakfast: For Rei For Shinji

What it means

Gendo Ikari prepares a cute bear-shaped breakfast with fruit for Rei, but gives Shinji a plain slice of bread with a rough cutout. The joke exaggerates Gendo’s favoritism and his famously strained relationship with Shinji in Neon Genesis Evangelion, making it useful as a reaction to unequal treatment.
