Toddler Pretends to Work
My toddler is “going to office” now 👩💼💼 He picks up his tiny laptop. Walks around the house. Sits beside me and pretends to work. No meetings. No deadlines. Just quiet imitation. And it made me realise what I’m normalising at home. Without saying a word, he’s learning that: • Work is a normal part of life • Moms work, and that’s okay • Focus matters • Effort is visible He sometimes sits next to me, taps random keys, and looks very serious. I smile. And keep working. As parents, we talk about shaping behaviour through systems. At home, behaviour is shaped by what kids see every day. I’m not teaching him what I do. I’m showing him how I show up. If he grows up thinking work is something you do with curiosity and calm — that’s a win. #WorkingMom #MomLife #WomenInProduct #ProductManagement #NormalisingWork #CareerAndFamily #EverydayLessons
