The Greed They Talk About

Text on the meme

the greed they talk about in the bible

What it means

A gray-and-white tabby cat is held and repeatedly reaches toward leftover food on a plate, eventually being lifted upright while wearing a pink collar. The caption jokingly compares the cat’s desperate appetite and greed for scraps to the greed condemned in the Bible, while Howard Shore’s ominous orchestral Lord of the Rings music makes the cat’s mundane food obsession feel grand, dramatic, and villainous.
