Dream Cars at the Gas Station

Text on the meme

POV: You and the boys made it and can finally afford your dream cars

What it means

A nighttime video at a gas station shows a tiny Suzuki kei truck being presented as the group’s dream car. The joke is affectionate and ironic: “you and the boys made it” means achieving success, but the dream luxury vehicles are comically humble mini trucks. Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule the World,” with its upbeat new wave and wistful mood, makes the humble drive feel like a triumphant victory montage.
