Angry Tesla Insurance Safety Score

I am so angry with Tesla Insurance safety score bullshit! General I maintain a 100 safety score most days. 99 or 98 on a bad day if I screw up. But recently I’ve been screwed by stop lights on the highway. Doing, say, 58 in a 55 approaching stop lights has become really stressful because if they turn amber at just the right distance I’m forced to make a choice: brake hard to stop before the red light and incur a horrendous penalty on my safety score of “hard braking”, or accelerate and run the red in order to avoid the safety score hit. This is stupid. The safe behavior is to stop. The unsafe behavior is to run the red. But I get penalized for the safe behavior to the extent that my safety score drops to 86 (today) just for doing the legal, safe, reasonable thing. I’m literally being financially incentivized to run red lights. This is costing me money and I’m pissed. Fuck Tesla’s stupid safety score premiums. That is all.
