The Present Moment Is Worse
Is this hell? In what sense? The present moment is both eternal and painful In Hell, there is relief in utter helplessness. Here, our actions have consequences for both ourselves and others Truly, it is worse
A woman with a shopping cart asks a supermarket worker whether this is hell. She explains that the present moment is worse because, unlike in hell, people retain agency and must live with the consequences of their actions. Used as a bleakly philosophical reaction to everyday stress and responsibility.
