Phases of Trans: The Final Shift

PHASES OF TRANS A COMIC BY IRIA & TORI THE SHIFT #1 PHASE #1 "SOMETIMES I WISH I WERE A GIRL" PHASE #2 "I AM A GIRL" PHASE #3

A hand-drawn comic introduces three phases of transition: wishing to be a girl, realizing “I am a girl,” and then cutting to the Team Fortress 2 Spy hanging from a wooden structure. The spoken narration follows the captions, abruptly turning the hopeful gender-identity joke into dark absurdist comedy when the character says, “Off to hang myself!” before screaming. Music and the sudden vocal outburst heighten the deliberately shocking punchline.
