How I Feel in My Hometown

Text on the meme

how i feel in my hometown:

What it means

An anime-style girl appears in a rapidly changing montage of public buses, muddy streets, storefronts, city roads, and a school courtyard. The caption humorously contrasts the glamorous, dramatic way she imagines herself with the ordinary or rough reality of her hometown. It works as a reaction to feeling strangely powerful, mysterious, or out of place in a familiar neighborhood.
