Shrek and Metal Gear Rising Comparison

DreamWorks Shrek METAL GEAR RISING REVENGEANCE Main protagonist who fights a politician while dealing with inner conflict Animal sidekick that the protagonist frees from servitude Villainous politician who think they're doing whats right The rival swordsman who is literally a fan favorite

The meme compares characters from Shrek with their supposed counterparts in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance: Shrek with Raiden, Donkey with Blade Wolf, Lord Farquaad with Senator Armstrong, and Puss in Boots with Jetstream Sam. The joke is that both stories feature surprisingly similar character roles, making the crossover comparison absurdly convincing. It is used as a reaction to bizarre but oddly accurate parallels between unrelated fictional universes.
