Awkward Swimming Pool Dive

GREATER LOWELL TECH SWIM AND DIVE

What it means

At an indoor swimming competition, a woman carefully walks to the end of the diving board, prepares dramatically, and then makes an awkward jump that creates a huge splash. The joke is the anticlimax: the buildup suggests a graceful dive, but the landing is clumsy and spectacularly messy.
