Italians Locate Italy on a Map

Text on the meme

What happens when Italians try to locate Italy on a map

What it means

A map of Europe and the Mediterranean shows Italy highlighted with many red dots, including its mainland, islands, and surrounding areas. The joke suggests Italians are so unfamiliar with Italy’s location that they mark it excessively and inaccurately. It is used as an absurd geography reaction meme.
