Spotify Pays Bands $0.006
Bands Spotify $0.006
A four-panel cartoon shows a hand labeled “Bands” reaching out of the water, followed by a hand labeled “Spotify” offering help. In the third panel, Spotify pays the bands only $0.006, causing the hand to sink beneath the water. The joke criticizes Spotify’s extremely low royalty payments to musicians and is shared as a sarcastic reaction to discussions about streaming income.
