She Was a Girl He Was a Boy

Text on the meme

She was a girl He was a boy

What it means

A young man and woman stand outside while absurd face-covered underwear and a face-covered container are superimposed over the scene. The captions parody the famous Avril Lavigne lyric “Sk8er Boi,” with the bizarre edits turning a simple romantic setup into surreal internet humor. It is used as an absurd reaction meme for mismatched couples or chaotic situations.
