Poisoned Bread at 3 AM
Mom: *leaves out poisoned bread for the rat* Me and the rat at 3a.m.:
Ash and Pikachu lie face-to-face on the ground at 3 a.m., looking at each other affectionately. The joke is that instead of letting the rat eat the poisoned bread, the person has bonded with it and is now sharing a late-night moment with their new companion. It is used as an absurd reaction to unexpectedly befriending or sympathizing with something meant to be eliminated.
