Nightmare in Mom's Room
"mom I had a nightmare can I sleep in your room tonight"
A frightened child lies in bed while a terrifying shadowy figure appears in the doorway behind them. The joke is that the supposed nightmare has followed the child into the room, making the request to sleep with mom even more alarming. It is used as a reaction to situations that are unexpectedly creepy or make things worse. EN: A frightened child lies in bed while a terrifying shadowy figure appears in the doorway behind them.
