The World Is Wednesday

WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY

What it means

A strange knitted-mask creature sits at a computer and types on a keyboard. The clip cuts to a globe marked “WEDNESDAY,” an iPhone, and Times Square before returning to the creature, suggesting that Wednesday has taken over the entire world or that time itself has become absurdly stuck there. Dhanjeet Ramnatsing’s retro electronic track “BACK IN TIME” gives the montage a surreal, time-travel-like mood and makes the escalating joke feel like a bizarre reaction to endless repetition.
