Gru Memorial for Prigozhin
YEVGENY PRIGOZHIN 1961–2023
A black-and-white portrait of Gru from Despicable Me wearing a striped scarf, captioned as a memorial for Yevgeny Prigozhin with the years 1961–2023. The joke is a dark parody that presents the fictional villain as if he were commemorating the real Russian mercenary leader, used as an ironic reaction to Prigozhin’s death.
