If They Cared They Would Ask
If they wanted me to know they would tell me I shouldn’t ask about it If they cared about it they would ask me. I shouldn’t talk About it.
Two simple cartoon figures sit apart, each thinking about whether the other person cares enough to ask about something. The joke is the mutual refusal to communicate: both assume that genuine concern would be shown by asking, while deciding not to bring up the topic themselves. It is used as a reaction to awkward silence, passive-aggressive behavior, or an unspoken relationship problem.
