What Is This Tumblr Shirt

Text on the meme

WHAT IS THIS? I'VE SEEN IT ON TUMBLR

What it means

A headless mannequin displays a black T-shirt featuring the iconic Unknown Pleasures waveform design. The joke is that the wearer recognizes the image only as something seen on Tumblr, missing its connection to Joy Division and the album cover. It is used as an ironic reaction to shallow internet familiarity with iconic culture. EN: A headless mannequin displays a black T-shirt featuring the iconic Unknown Pleasures waveform design.
