The Softest and Toughest Fans

Text on the meme

THE SOFTEST FAN Hello Kitty THE TOUGHEST FAN BERSERK

What it means

A split-panel meme contrasts a Hello Kitty fan represented by a stern-looking anime girl with a Berserk fan represented by a person collapsed in despair. The joke exaggerates the contrast between the cute, gentle image of Hello Kitty and the bleak, intensely dark reputation of Berserk, making it useful as a reaction to fandom stereotypes.
