Watching Barbie With My Imaginary Girlfriend
pov: watching barbie with my gf(she's not real) -thats you
A video opens with Barbie and Ken on a sunny beach, then cuts to a couple sitting in a dark cinema. The girlfriend points out that the man is watching Barbie alone, and the joke is that his imaginary girlfriend is “not real.” Desire’s dreamy synth-pop song “Under Your Spell” makes the scene feel romantic and heightens the absurdity of the reaction.
