Future Technology Disappointment
2017.. What's that?? We're from the FUTURE WOAH! No way, this is so cool! Huh?
A four-panel comic shows people discovering a strange blue portal or object labeled “2017..” and meeting visitors from the future. They are amazed by the future technology, but the final panel reveals a dark masked figure and a frightened silver-haired girl, prompting a confused “Huh?” The joke is a bait-and-switch: the characters expect something futuristic and exciting, but the reveal is bizarre and ominous.
