A homemade-looking 10 Gbit Ethernet repeater has a USB stick or adapter protruding from its front, wrapped in printed tape. The joke is the absurdly improvised hardware setup, making expensive-looking networking equipment resemble a makeshift DIY project. It can be sent as a reaction to questionable engineering, improvised repairs, or overcomplicated technology.
