First Thing I’m Proud Of

Text on the meme

WOW DAD! YOU MADE A BOOKSHELF! YEP, FIRST THING I'VE EVER MADE THAT I'M PROUD OF.

What it means

A small red character proudly tells his dad that he made a bookshelf. The father agrees that it is the first thing he has ever made that he is proud of, leaving the child visibly disappointed; it is used as a reaction to backhanded compliments and awkward parental honesty.
