The Heroes of the 2020 Plague
Papa, who is that statue for? The heroes of the 2020 plague.
A child asks her father who a gigantic seated statue commemorates, while tiny people and trees surround it. The punchline is that the statue honors the “heroes” of the 2020 plague, humorously portraying ordinary people as monumental figures during the pandemic. It is shared as an absurd reaction to COVID-19, lockdowns, or exaggerated praise for surviving 2020.
