Hard Drives Could Still Read
Hard drives last only 3-5 years on average. If those hard drives could still read, they’d be very upset.
A scene from King of the Hill shows Hank Hill looking at several people whose faces have been replaced with hard drives. The joke treats failing or unreadable hard drives as people who would be upset about their short lifespan and inability to read data. It is used as a humorous reaction to hard-drive failure, data loss, or corrupted storage.
